Indo-Pacific Command Holds 25th Annual Defence Conference

U.S. and Fiji co-hosted a gathering of 27 countries.

The United States Indo-Pacific Command jointly hosted the 25th annual Chiefs of Defence Conference (CHODs) for three days, joining the Republic of Fiji Military Forces in Nadi, Fiji to meet with military leaders from 27 countries.

“We extend our gratitude to our fellow nations for entrusting us with this significant role, and we eagerly anticipate the enlightening discussions and productive exchanges that lie ahead,” Major General Jone Kalouniwai, Commander of Fiji’s Military Forces, said at the conference’s opening ceremony on August 14.

Three programs were run simultaneously during the conference, one for Chiefs of Defence, one for Senior Enlisted Leaders, and one for spouses of senior military leaders. Attendees discussed how to strengthen diplomacy and increase Indo-Pacific stability through military cooperation.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Admiral Aquilino to seek the Lord for wisdom as he heads the Indo-Pacific Command.
  • For Secretary Austin to be discerning as he leads the Defense Department.
  • For U.S. military officials and diplomats as they engage with allied leaders.
